Kampong Speu has 383 factories & enterprises worth nearly US$2 billion

As of February 9, 2023, Kampong Speu province has 383 factories​ and enterprises with capital worth over US$2 billion, Governor Vy Samnang on 9 February.

HE Samnang stressed that Kampong Speu province has substantial growth in the factory industry, which provides jobs to over 155,761 workers (115,522 women).

He added that in the textile, garment, and footwear sectors, there are 189 places with a total of 145,399 workers (110,843 women).

There are 229 large factories, employing 132,503 people, including 102,885 women, with a total investment of more than US$1,714 million.

Meanwhile, the province also hosted 1,130 sites of small and medium-sized factories and handicrafts with a total investment capital of more than US$26 million, employing 14,620 workers (7,700 women).

As of the beginning of 2023, Kampong Speu province has implemented a total of 36 development investment projects with a total budget of nearly US$10 million.
