Angkor Wat Rakes in Over US$32 Million in Ticket Sales in 11 Months Amidst Surging Tourist Numbers

In a spectacular achievement for Cambodia, the first 11 months of 2023 witnessed an impressive revenue of US$32,546,847 from the sale of Angkor tickets to nearly 700,000 foreign tourists. Revealed in a recent report by the Angkor Institute on 1 December 2023, this remarkable figure signifies a remarkable surge of 261.12% compared to the same period in 2022.

November 2023 alone saw the Angkor Institution reaping US$4,664,412 from the sale of 97,426 tickets to international tourists, marking a substantial increase of 107.21% compared to November 2022. The escalating numbers underscore the enduring allure of Angkor Wat, drawing visitors from across the globe.

Admission rates for international tourists remain at US$37 per day, US$62 for three days, and US$72 per week. As Cambodia continues to bask in the economic benefits of Angkor’s popularity, the outlook for the nation’s tourism industry appears brighter than ever.
