300 Firms to Attend Cambuild’17 Expo

The up-coming Cambuild’17 expo and Cambodia Architects Forum will open next week for two days from 7 to 9 September, 2017 at the Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center (Koh Pich), Phnom Penh. Hosted for the seventh consecutive year in Cambodia, the show is organised by AMB Tarsus Events Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC), and Board of Architecture Cambodia (BAC).

This year’s trade show features 300 exhibiting firms from 23 countries, including international pavilions from Italy, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore. They will come to display their latest innovations, designs and supplies. “The highlight this year is the Italy Pavilion where the best in Italian products including furniture and building supplies will be shown for the first time in Cambodia,” said AMB Tarsus Events Group director Mr. Andrew Siow at the Cambuild’17 press conference on 30 August.

Over 8,000 trade visitors and delegates are expected to participate in this construction and architecture design event.

The first Cambodia Architects Forum 2017 will be hosted concurrently at the expo from 7 to 8 September. The two-day forum is expected to be attended by over 300 architects from around the country. The discussion will be largest gathering of architects from the public and private sectors in Cambodia. The first day of forum will focus on iconic green building architecture and the technical advances in the design and construction of high-rise buildings, while the second day see technical papers on innovations in design, building and construction technology.

A panel of top architects from Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia will speak at the forum, according to Secretary of State, Ministry of Land H.E. Phoeung Sophorn who presided at the press conference. “Regional experts will present papers on Sustainable Cities and Culture in Architecture Design, and there will also be a panel discussion on ASEAN Green Architecture,” he said. “These integrated events provide support for the infrastructure development of the kingdom as it moves towards sustainable and green buildings and architecture,” he concluded.
