Cambodia-China Discuss Establishment of Sister City Alliance and Liaoning Industrial Park in Sihanoukville

Representatives of Cambodia and China recently discussed establishing a Liaoning- Sihanoukville Sister City Alliance and Industrial Park, according to a recent post on the Ministry of Commerce Facebook page.

During the meeting held at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, the Secretary of the Liaoning Communist Party of China Provincial Committee Mr Chen Qiufa told H.E Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce about the plan to establish the Liaoning-Sihanoukville Sister City and Liaoning-Cambodia Industrial Park.

Speaking of the proposed project, Mr Chen Qiufa asked for the support from Cambodia citing that the project will help strengthen and expand bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two provinces.

In response, H.E Pan Sorasak supported and pledged to facilitate Liaoning’s investment projects coming online in the future in order to create job opportunities and additional income for the people, and especially to promote the economic development of Sihanoukville province.
