Government approves Aeon 3 project

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on 25 December approved the investment project for third Aeon mall which is to be located along Samdech Techo Hun Sen Boulevard, also known as the 60-metre wide road.

The project is an investment by Aeon Mall (Cambodia) Co., Ltd using a capital of US$289.6 million and which will create about 47 jobs.

According to the CDC, the project is in Prek Talong village 3, Chak Angre Krom Commune, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

In late 2018, the developer announced the location of its third mall in Cambodia which will sit on a total area of 174,000 square metres which is larger than both Aeon Mall I (68,000 square metres) and Aeon Sen Sok (10,0000 square metres) combined.

Aeon considers the location suitable thanks to the multiple development projects in the area such as international schools and numerous residential apartments and villas, all of which will increase the population in the area further in future.

According to the plan, this third shopping mall will open in 2023.
