Government Issues Three Emergency Measures to Prevent 2nd Wave of COVID-19

The government and relevant ministries enforced three major emergency measures on 08 November, including the temporary closure of entertainment venues, the suspension of educational institutions and a ban on gatherings at the Olympic Stadium to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The closure of entertainment venues includes KTVs, entertainment clubs, cinemas and museums across the country from today until further notice.

Meanwhile, educational institutions such as public and private schools in Phnom Penh and Kandal provincial towns have been temporarily closed by the Ministry of Education for two weeks.

At the same time, the Ministry also decided to temporarily suspend all kinds of sports and exercise in the form of gatherings and temporarily suspend the activities and entry and exit of the National Olympic Stadium until further notice.
