Siem Reap Chosen as Venue for 2023 SEA Games Cycling

Among three potential provinces, Siem Reap has been chosen to host the cycling for the upcoming 2023 SEA Games, according to the Ministry of Tourism’s announcement yesterday.

The ministry stated that Siem Reap is a high-priority province as it has ready infrastructure such as airports, roads, ancient temples, and especially the Phnom Kulen National Park, which is very suitable to hosting all kinds of cycling competitions.

Besides favourable infrastructure, most of the athletes, coaches and relevant officials of the sports federation are also from Siem Reap, which make this province even more suitable.

Construction of the US$160-million Chinese-funded Morodok Techo Stadium is almost 100% complete and is expected to be finished at the end of this month. (Read more)
