SCG and Build One Group to expand supply chain across ASEAN

Thai start up Builk One Group has received funding from AddVentures, an investment arm of Siam Cement Group (SCG), to digitalise and expand its construction supply chain into the ASEAN market.

According to ThaidailyThe Nation, Build One Group, hopes to develop a B2B purchasing-buying process for the construction industry and to expand the feature to countries in the ASEAN region.

Speaking with The Nation, AddVentures manager Joshua Pas explained how contractors and the construction material business in both Thailand and ASEAN region has continued to grow rapidly. However, those contractors still operate their business with inefficient procurement and cost management systems.

With the advent of this new cooperation, contractors in the construction industry across region will be able to manage their businesses efficiently and as well as reducing operations cost.

Under Build One Group, Build.com is an online cost-control system that allows users to control the workflow of their construction projects. One of the main features is the cost-control where contractors can check the cost accounting, budgeting, and expenses and revenue via the online platform.

Other features on Build.com include:
• Pojjaman2, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for large-sized contractors
• Yello Smart Purchase, a system for purchasing construction materials
• Jubili by Builk, a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Ploy, a sales-construction-transfer management system for property developers
• KwanJai by Builk, a maintenance and after-sales service management for property developers

Currently, the platform serves around 25,000 small and medium-sized contractors in Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia.
