Three Investment Projects Worth Over US$8 million Approved for Pou Senchey & Angk Snuol Districts

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has recently given permits to private firms to invest US$8.5 million in building three news factories in Kandal and Phnom Penh.

The first investment permit has been granted to New T&K Textile Co., Ltd to invest US$2 million to build a garment factory in Trapeang Krasaing village, Sangkat Trapeang Krasaing, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.

The second is Yuan Shen Tai Co., Ltd, which will invest US$3.2 million to establish a shoe and footwear factory in Andong village, Bek Chan commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province.

The last investment permit has been granted to Fortune Broad Footwear Co., Ltd with the firm investing US$3.3 million to also build a shoe and footwear factory in Ang Snoul.

These three aforementioned investment projects will create over 4,300 jobs for Cambodians.

According to a CDC report, in the first half of 2021, the CDC has approved 87 new investments both new and expansion projects, equivalent to almost US$3 billion, which is an increase of about 10% compared to the same period last year. (Read more)
