ADB Sets Aside US$1.4bn Loan & US$31.8m Grant Aid for Cambodia in Next 4 Years

The Asia Development of Cambodia (ADB) have prepared over US$1.49 billion in concessional loans and US$31.8 million in grant aids for Cambodia in the next four years from 2021 to 2024.

According to the ADB’s press release last week, both concessional loans and grant aids aim to support Cambodia’s economic development and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Regarding the public debt in Cambodia, as of 30 June 2021, Cambodia has a total outstanding public debt of US$9.12 billion, which is public external debt, according to the Cambodia Public Debt Statistical Bulletin. (Read more)

However, in the first semester of 2021, no concessional loan agreements have been signed as the new development programs/projects are delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
