Nestle Mulls Building Production Factory in Cambodia

Nestle, one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies, has unveiled its business plan to build a production factory in Cambodia to replace imports from abroad.

The plan was raised by the Nestle Thailand Country Director Mr Chandana Fernando in a meeting with Minister of Commerce HE Pan Sorasak, earlier this week.

According to the ministry’s statement issued on 17 December, the company is examining the possibility at the moment, while a clear plan has yet to be announced.

HE Pan Sorasak expressed his strong welcome to Nestlé’s investment project and guided the company to work closely with the ministry’s relevant officials.

The upcoming talks with Nestle will be held in January 2022 in Switzerland.
