Gov’t Approves Four Projects Worth Over US$15 million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved the investment of US$15.8 million by private companies to establish four new factories in Kandal, Kampong Speu, and Takeo provinces.

According to the investment proposal of the companies, the Investment Committee of CDC decided to issue investment project registration certificates to the following companies:

The first company is OCEAN FAST (CAMBODIA) FOOTWEAR FACTORY CO., LTD, investing US$6 million in building a factory to produce shoes in Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.

The second company is CASE SI TRAVEL PRODUCTS CO., LTD, investing US$4.1 million to establish a factory to produce bags in Kong Pisei district, Kampong Speu province.

The third company is SYHJ GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which is investing US$3.4 million to establish a garment factory in Angk Snuol district, Kandal province.

The fourth company is SUNRISE OUTDOORS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which is investing US$2.3 million to produce bags in Samraong district, Takeo province.

According to the CDC, these four projects will help create up to 5753 jobs for local people.
