Kampong Chhnang Province Prepares Three Land Zones

The Kampong Chhnang Provincial Land Management Committee has prepared a plan to cut the land into three zones in Kampong Chhnang province.

The Kampong Chhnang Provincial Land Management Committee held a meeting on 23 June chaired by Mr Sann Yu, Deputy Governor of Kampong Chhnang Province to review the progress of the plan to cut the land into three zones for the people in the province.

Mr Ly Sophea, Director of the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastral of Kampong Chhnang Province, said that in accordance with the instructions of the Royal Government and the Provincial Administration, the joint working group of the province in cooperation with local authorities conducted a study and made preliminary conclusions in setting geographical identification and citizen identification to people for legal ownership.

Mr Sann Yu said that the provincial joint working group has fully implemented each step of the procedure in accordance with the notification of the Royal Government in cutting the land by inspecting and extracting specific data for the legal arrangement to provide land ownership to people who have lived with clear proof of permanent residence.

He further stated that during the implementation of the work, all working groups and relevant officials have to join in implementing transparency, efficiency and an accountable manner to the Royal Government in allocating land in these three zones to the people living in those areas.
