NR48 Expansion Project 10% Complete as of August 

The renovation and expansion of NR48 connecting Sre Ambel district and Khemarak Phoumin city in Koh Kong province is over 10% complete after multiple months of construction since early 2022.

Heang Sotheayuth, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, confirmed on 8 September that by the end of August, the construction to expand and improve the quality of NR48 was 10.17% complete.

The project will expand NR48 from two lanes to four lanes with a length of 148km. (Read more)

Built by Korean company ILSUNG & HANIL Joint Venture, the project will cost about US$65 million with a loan from the Republic of Korea.

The road construction and expansion project is scheduled to take 32 months, with completion scheduled for June 2024.
