Pursat Province has 49 Mining Businesses & Over 1K Enterprises Operating

Pursat province has 49 mining businesses, including sand dredging, red clay chalk, construction stone, and marble while more than 1,000 enterprises linked to the sector rare currently operating in the province, as reported by HE Khoy Rida, Pursat Provincial Governor, on 7 March 2023. 

Of the 1,162 companies and enterprises in the province, there are 292 private companies, 482 sole proprietorships, and 388 branches. Pursat is also home to two major hydropower projects, with one currently underway and another scheduled to open in April 2026. In the future, the province has plans to build two more hydropower plants to provide electricity. (Read more)

Moreover, Pursat province has four power stations under the Australian Energy Program (ODA) built by the Republic of Korea in the Cardamom Mountains. These power stations have a combined power output of 58.5 kW. Additionally, the province has one 90-megawatt solar power station, one 10-kilowatt-hour power station, one 7-kilowatt-hour power station, one solar-charging station, and a wind power and black oil station with a power output of 519 kWh. 

During his speech, HE Khoy Rida expressed his optimism for the future of Pursat province, stating that the administration is committed to promoting a business-friendly environment to attract more investors to the province, and we hope to see continued growth and development in all sectors.
