International aviation flight center officially launches in Cambodia

Lanmei University of Cambodia has recently launched an international aviation flight simulator center, equipped with a $10 million Airbus A320 full flight simulator (FFS) for training. The center, located near the Phnom Penh International Airport, aims to build human resources in the aviation industry in Cambodia.

The launching ceremony on March 21 was attended by HE Mao Havannall, Minister of State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, Li Kun, chairman of the Lanmei Aviation Group, HE Wang Wentian, Chinese ambassador to Cambodia, and other officials.

HE Mao Havannall called the center a “milestone” in the development of Cambodia’s aviation sector and human resources.

“As a training provider for the parent company – Lanmei Aviation Group, Lanmei University of Cambodia will play an important role in education, building human resource capability, and supporting the aviation industry’s needs, ” said HE Havannall.

The Lanmei Aviation Group revealed that the center received financial support from the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Framework.

This new aviation flight center is expected to provide Cambodian aviation professionals with advanced training and contribute to the growth and development of the country’s aviation industry.
