The remarkable progress was the focal point of the meeting held on 6 November 2023, chaired by HE Dr. Ros Vanna, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The overarching objective of this project is to revamp water supply and sanitation infrastructure throughout the country. The US$55 million credit financing, backed by the Cambodian government, underscores the importance of developing comprehensive sewerage and sub-sewerage networks, ensuring public health, and sanitation, and fostering a cleaner environment to enhance the quality of life for the people.

This ambitious project is segmented into two major components, each designed to tackle critical issues. The first part is focused on elevating the standards of wastewater quality from treatment plants, enhancing wastewater service pricing mechanisms, and streamlining wastewater service fees. It also entails revamping water billing and bolstering service quality. The second facet involves the meticulous management of wastewater from toilets, among other critical aspects. (Read more)
