Cis Koh Pich Campus Breaks Ground on Usd20 Million Expansion

General Director OCIC Group Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se yesterday presided over the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the Phase 2 expansion of the Canadian International School in Diamond Island.

After completion in the next 18 months, the school will cover more than three hectares of land and feature a new CIS secondary school from grades 7-12, swimming pool, running track, Black Box Theatre with capacity of more than 600 seats, a new library and a makerspace as well as many other new facilities.

With a budget of USD20 million, the expansion is being undertaken in response to the high demand for high-standard educational faculties in Cambodia and also to help support the Cambodia education system as a whole.

Opened since 2012, the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh (CIS) currently has three campuses in Phnom Penh, Sunway Tuol Kork, Bassac Garden City Campus, and Koh Pich Campus, which provide teaching programs from preschool up to grade 8 under the Canadian curriculum standard with all teachers fully certified. With the new extension, CIS plans to add more grades to the program up to grade 12.
