Cambodia & Australia Strengthen Ties with Investment & Trade Commitment

In a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations, Cambodia and Australia have pledged to explore new strategies for expanding investment and trade cooperation. This commitment was solidified during a meeting held on 19 May 2025, between HE Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and Ms. Frances Adamson, Premier of South Australia.

The discussions highlighted key areas of potential collaboration, including trade, investment, education, clean energy, agriculture, and vocational training. Both leaders stressed the importance of fostering people-to-people connections through cultural exchanges and tourism initiatives, which are seen as vital for deepening ties between the two nations.

Prime Minister Hun Manet and Premier Adamson expressed their optimism that these cooperative efforts will significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of Cambodia. Their dialogue underscored a shared vision of mutual growth and sustainability in the region.

Additionally, prior to this meeting, discussions on investment opportunities took place in Sydney on 17 February 2025.
