WEIDE (Cambodia) Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. has officially announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing and assembly plant in Kandal Province, signaling a significant boost to the local economy.

On August 21, 2025, Mr. Prak Sarath, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province, along with relevant departments and experts, conducted a site inspection of the proposed facility. The plant will be in the Samean Innovation and Technology Industrial Park, specifically in Building A1, occupying the 1st to 6th floors along National Road 4, in Prey Roka Village, Chot Chheu Neang Commune, Ang Snuol District.

The new facility is expected to generate approximately 450 job opportunities across various roles, including management, engineering, technical positions, consultancy, office administration, as well as skilled and unskilled labor. Notably, around 170 of these positions will cater to unskilled workers, promoting inclusive employment in the region.

This ambitious project comes at a time when Kandal Province is witnessing a surge in foreign investment. In the first seven months of 2025 alone, a record 440 investment projects have been approved, amounting to approximately 6.7 billion VND. This figure surpasses the total number of projects approved throughout 2024 and marks the highest annual total in the 30-year history of the Council for the Development of Cambodia. (Read more)
