Cambodia-France Trade Exceeded $206 Million in 2024

Bilateral trade between Cambodia and France surpassed $206 million in 2024, with both nations committing to further expanding their trade volume and investment. This commitment was highlighted during a meeting between Samdech Khuon Sudary, President of the Cambodian National Assembly, and a French investor delegation. The delegation was led by Mr. François Guez, CEO of PL Vista and BY Vista companies, on December 10, 2025.

During the meeting, it was noted that France is Cambodia’s second-largest trading partner. Bilateral trade between the two countries reached $515.21 million in 2023 and exceeded $206 million in 2024.

Mr. François Guez announced that his companies plan to import a variety of French products into Cambodia, including hygiene and health products, household items, and cosmetics. Initially, the companies will introduce about 400 product items, with plans to expand this to 1,000 items in the future. Mr. Guez stated that the companies’ operations are scheduled to begin early in 2026. He also confirmed that all goods will be exported directly from factories in France. This direct export model will allow the selling price in the Cambodian market to be comparable to prices in the French market.

In response, Samdech Khuon Sudary welcomed the French investors to Cambodia. She highlighted that this investment aligns with the recent publication of the “Doing Business in Cambodia 2025-2026” guide by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia in November.

The meeting also concluded with an indication that the bilateral relationship between Cambodia and France will soon be elevated to a “Strategic Partnership”.
