Building Owners Who Constructed Prior to 2019 Construction Law Must Apply for Occupancy Certificate

The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has issued a letter on March 22, 2023, requiring all building, factory, or warehouse owners who constructed prior to the enactment of the 2019 Construction Law to obtain a construction use certificate.

According to Prakas No. 177 DONS/PRK, dated December 6, 2019, building or factory owners who constructed without a construction permit or construction permit can apply for a construction permit at the one-stop shop of the MLMUPC. The ministry has stated that this measure is in accordance with the procedures and procedures for issuing construction use certificates before the construction law came into force.  (Read more)
