All real estate disputes can complain to the Real Estate Business and Pawnshop Regulator

Upholding the principles of transparency and accountability in the real estate development sector, the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator opens its doors to all citizens facing disputes related to real estate dealings. In a press release dated July 15, 2023, the regulator has been designated as the sole authority responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the real estate development business.

Irrespective of whether the parties involved possess a license, this regulatory body stands ready to address grievances, intervene, mediate, and investigate any alleged irregularities or criminal activities concerning real estate development.

The broad mandate of the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator encompasses all forms of real estate development ventures, including land development, condominium projects, office buildings, market constructions, and residential properties earmarked for long-term sale or lease.

By maintaining strict oversight over these activities, the regulator seeks to ensure a level playing field, protecting the rights and interests of both developers and consumers.

In the event of any disagreement or perceived impropriety relating to the purchase, sale, or leasing of immovable properties, any party to the contract or other stakeholders can lodge a formal complaint or request intervention from the Real Estate Business & Pawnshop Regulator. Located at Building 168 (7th floor), Street 598, Sangkat Chrang Chamres 1, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh, concerned parties can also contact the regulator through telegram at 011 598 372 and 069 517 186.
