Over 20,000 Firms Register Through MEF Single Portal System as of 2022

As of early January 2023, 20,809 companies registered their businesses with the Ministry of Economy and Finance Single Portal online system with a total investment capital of US$5.83 billion, according to an announcement by the ministry on 9 January. 

There were also 13,068 companies on the waiting list, the report added. 

The five business activities with the largest registered capital include construction (US$977m or 17% of total capital), real estate activities (US$722 million or 12%), management consulting activities (US$297 million or 5%), manufacturing (US$282 million or 5%), and specialised wholesalers (US$260 million or 4%).
