In the meeting, PM Hun Sen expressed Cambodia’s intention to purchase electricity from Laos and subsequently sell it to Singapore. He highlighted the significance of successful submarine transmission lines, which necessitate the geographical involvement of South Vietnam, the Kamao region, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Furthermore, PM Hun Sen appealed to his Vietnamese counterpart to facilitate this endeavor, stating that Cambodia has already prepared the necessary documentation for Vietnamese institutions.

In response, the PM of Vietnam acknowledged the information and committed to forwarding it to a designated working group for further review.
