Cambodia Vows to Boost Green Logistics Policy to Reduce Environmental Impact

The Cambodian government has vowed to implement more green logistics policies, aimed at reducing environmental impacts in the ASEAN region.

The statement was given by the Director General of the General Department of Logistics of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport HE Chheang Pich during the 4th Green Logistics Partnership Conference 2022 on 4 November.

The meeting focused on discussing and sharing experiences on policy development, implementation, and challenges related to the green logistics sector and setting goals and action plans to improve the green logistics sector in the ASEAN region.

HE Chheang Pich said that the meeting provided input on policies as well as key recommendations related to green transport.

HE Chheang Pich added that the Master Plan of the Comprehensive Logistics Policy of Japan (2021-2025) provides specific roadmaps to the participants to make the transportation and supply chain work more effectively. It will also help improve productivity, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and mitigate social issues.

Green logistics plays an important role in contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
