CBA Expo 2023: Pioneering the Future of Construction, Mining & Building Industries

In a testament to innovation and progress, CBA Expo 2023, the inaugural international trade exhibition and conference dedicated to machinery, tools, equipment, and technology for the construction, mining, and building sectors, concluded with resounding success. Held at EH100, BITEC Bangkok, Thailand, from 13-15 September 2023, this event emerged as a definitive platform for industry stakeholders to explore cutting-edge solutions and forge new collaborations.

During the grand inauguration ceremony, Mr Ekapat Wangsuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry (Thailand), underlined the pivotal role of modern technology and innovation in propelling Thailand’s construction industry to global excellence. He emphasized that these advancements are essential for overcoming industry challenges, including surging construction costs due to rising material prices. Mr Wangsuwan further highlighted that embracing modern machinery, technology, and innovation is not only about enhancing business capabilities but also about addressing societal and environmental concerns, such as labour shortages.

Mr Sirapop Tantitham, Managing Director of O.C.R. Company Limited, a distributor of heavy machinery under the brand name XCMG, spotlighted the growth in Thailand’s domestic construction sector. However, he stressed the importance of responsible growth, acknowledging that it can contribute to environmental issues. O.C.R.’s commitment to commercial success is coupled with a profound sense of responsibility towards society and the environment. Their showcased technologies, including eco-friendly wheel loaders and advanced concrete plants, reflect this commitment.

Mr Paul Chantaratim, Director of the Trade Exhibition Business Department and the event’s project manager, expressed his satisfaction with the inaugural CBA Expo. The event featured 60 renowned brands and companies from countries such as Thailand, India, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Over the course of three days, these exhibitors engaged with more than 2,000 trade consumers, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. Looking ahead, Mr. Chantaratim affirmed the event’s role as a robust business platform for the construction, mining, and building industries, fostering networking, knowledge exchange, and shared experiences. He also unveiled plans for CBA Expo 2024, scheduled for 22-24 August 2024, at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand.
