CDC Approves 134 Investment Projects Worth US$3.3bn in First Three Quarters of 2021

During the first three quarters of 2021, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved a total of 134 investment projects worth over US$3.3 billion, according to a CDC report published in Freshnews.

The report added that the number of projects decreased by 24.7% while the investment also dropped by 48%, compared to the same period last year, but have generated over 85,572 jobs for local people.

Of the projects, 101 projects worth US$1.4 billion are located outside the special economic zones and 33 others worth US$1.9 billion are located inside the SEZs.

The investments are mainly focusing on agro-agriculture, industry, tourism, and infrastructure, the report added.

Last year, CDC approved 238 investment projects with an investment value of US$8.2 billion.
