The Royal Government of Cambodia is pushing for a minimum wage for construction workers, according to Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen. In a meeting with garment workers in Kampong Speu Province on 12 December 2018, SamdechTecho Hun Sen said that Cambodia will expand its minimum wage measure to other sectors, including the construction sector to reduce the problem of worker migration.

Us$70 Million Adb Loan to Develop National Roads No. 1 and 6

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a US$70 million loan to Cambodia for the improvement and maintenance of National Roads No. 1 and 6 according to a press release by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) dated 13 December, 2018. The loans, which are divided into three packages, will be used for upgrading National Road No. 1 from kilometre 63 to kilometre 159 from Neak Loeung to Bavet. For National Road No. 6, the project will start from kilometre 317 to kilometre 367 from Siem Reap city to Kralanh. These projects will cover a total road length of 145.58 kilometres.
