Aluminium China & Lightweight Asia 2019 Continue to Look at the Advancements in the Aluminium Application Field

Aluminium China and Lightweight Asia 2019, which will be held by Reed Exhibitions from July 10th to 12th, will showcase a new chapter in the aluminium industry by exploring the green manufacturing trends involved in the developments and products in the automotive, construction, transport, aerospace and consumer durables industries.

Aluminium Leading the Boom in Consumer Electronics with White Goods

In recent years, in order to meet modern consumers’ preferences and aesthetic requirements, using aluminium alloy by products for parts in home appliances instead of their plastic counterparts has become increasingly widespread. As a result, the number of aluminium products sold throughout the domestic consumer electronics market is expected to continue to rise along with this demand.

At this year’s Aluminium China, one of the forums, Appearance and Application of Aluminium Alloy in Consumer Electronics, aims to further promote its use in the market by sharing insights on the possibilities for its future development. Topics will include appearance, design and processing and technologies. The speakers will come from enterprises including Meiling, CVTE and Xivo Design.

Aluminium Assisting Sustainable Development in Packaging

The strong demand for green, low carbon and sustainable development is also added to an increased demand for aluminium packaging. Compared to traditional ones like plastic, using the aluminium for this purpose can reduce pollution while ensuring food safety at the same time.

However, the industry still faces some challenges such as initial costs, so efficient production, enterprise management and the use of quality material are still needed for its sustainable development. The International Aluminium Institute, Aluminium Stewardship Initiative and the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative will address these issues at one of the forums whose key message is ‘The future protects with aluminium.’

Aluminium China 2019 and Lightweight Asia 2019, organised by Reed Exhibitions, will run from 10 to 12 July in Shanghai. Visitors can obtain tickets for the event by going to: www.aluminiumchina.com/en or www.lightweightasia.com/en
