Battambang province earned $1.6 million from real estate transfers in the first nine months of 2025

Battambang province is emerging as a significant player in Cambodia’s economic landscape, particularly as the Kingdom’s fourth economic pole. With a robust focus on land management, urban planning, and construction, the province is effectively harnessing its potential to drive economic growth and boost local incomes.

In a recent announcement from the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastre, the province reported impressive financial results for the first nine months of 2025. Revenue from real estate transfer stamp duty and the provincial single-entry unit reached an impressive $1.6 million, highlighting the region’s growing economic activity. This information was disclosed during a meeting on October 17, 2025, where officials reviewed the year’s achievements and set new objectives for 2026.

One of the province’s standout accomplishments is the completion of a comprehensive land survey campaign on June 30, 2025. By September 25, 2025, significant progress had been made in land registration efforts. The data speaks volumes: a total of 750,730 land parcels were surveyed, with 504 villages successfully closed and propagated, representing 513,151 land parcels. Additionally, 489 villages received issuance approvals for 448,373 land parcels, and 445,478 titles were distributed.

The efforts do not stop there. Following the successful land survey, the Department has made strides in issuing certificates to identify real estate owners, ensuring that citizens receive satisfactory public services. As Battambang province continues to evolve, its proactive measures in land management and urban planning are expected to pave the way for sustainable economic development and improved livelihoods for its residents.
