Chinese Firm to Revolutionise Cambodia with Cutting-Edge 3D AI Display Technology

A leading Chinese company specializing in 3D-AI-free digital display technology has announced plans to invest in Cambodia, bringing advanced 3D displays that require no glasses integrated with 5G technology. The move signals an exciting new chapter for Cambodia’s tech landscape, with the Ministry of Information confirming the development on 16 September 2024.

During a high-level meeting between HE Sok Prasidh, Secretary of State for the Ministry of Information, and Mr. Ye Shaogan, president of the Chinese company, it was revealed that the firm intends to introduce innovative 2D and 3D display technologies in public spaces, school buses, and classrooms. Targeting students from grades 1 through 12, the company aims to make advanced 3D displays a core part of Cambodia’s educational infrastructure. Integrating the displays with 5G Internet will further enhance their utility, bringing a futuristic edge to the country’s digital landscape.

Mr. Ye Shaogan expressed hope that Cambodia would embrace this breakthrough technology to benefit the general population and students in both public and private schools. He also shared his vision of how this 3D AI screen technology could revolutionize Cambodia’s education sector.

HE Sok Prasidh welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the private sector’s critical role in advancing 3D AI digital technology in the country. He encouraged the company to continue researching and collaborating with key ministries to ensure a smooth investment process, highlighting the importance of understanding the legal framework for their projects.

Adding a significant health dimension to the project, the company presented research indicating that 51% of China’s population and 30% to 40% of people in Asia suffer from cataracts. The company’s 3D system aims to address this, particularly focusing on children aged 6 to 18, further solidifying the transformative potential of their technology in both educational and medical applications.
