Chinese Investment to Boost Bavet City with New 5-Star Hotel

 

In a significant development for the local economy, YUNYA Hotel Co., Ltd., a Chinese company, has announced a substantial investment exceeding USD 60 million to construct a luxurious 5-star hotel in Bavet city. The provincial authorities have already conducted inspections at the project site, signalling the commencement of this ambitious venture.

During a site visit on 11 June 2025, Mr. Sar Sodany, Deputy Governor of Svay Rieng Province, met with Mr. Shen LeiLei, a shareholder from Zhejiang province, China, to discuss the project’s progress. Mr. Sodany expressed optimism about the hotel, which will feature 280 rooms, 70 villas, a restaurant, a steam sauna, and a shopping mall, all located in Thanh Nhan village, Bati commune.

This new hotel is set to create over 500 job opportunities, playing a crucial role in enhancing the economic landscape of the area and raising the living standards of local residents. As Bavet city continues to grow as a key destination, this investment marks a significant step towards boosting tourism and economic development in Svay Rieng province.

The local community and authorities eagerly anticipate the benefits that the hotel will bring upon its completion, further establishing Bavet city as an attractive location for both visitors and investors alike.
