This ambitious proposal, aimed at transforming Cambodia into a key player in the agricultural trade arena, was revealed during a high-level meeting on March 5, 2025, with His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

Leading the Chinese delegation was Ms. Li Fengzhi, Deputy Governor of the People’s Government of Guangzhou City, accompanied by His Excellency Wang Wenbin, the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia. The meeting emphasized Cambodia’s flourishing investment environment and highlighted various opportunities across sectors such as industrial plants, the automotive industry, electronics, green energy, education, digital technology, and, notably, agriculture and agro-industry.
