Cobber Packing Company Commits Over US$3 Million to Establish Cardboard Factory in SHV

The Preah Sihanouk Provincial Sub-Committee on Investment (ECCC) has greenlit an ambitious venture by Cooper Packing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., investing upwards of US$3 million to erect a state-of-the-art cardboard factory in Sihanoukville. The decision came to light during a meeting presided over by Mr. Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, on 17 April 2024.

With a registered capital of US$1,500,000 and a total investment sum of US$3,040,735.35, the company aims to inaugurate a cutting-edge facility dedicated to the production of cardboard, paper products, packaging materials, and assorted accessories.

The approval of the investment proposal by the sub-committee underscores the project’s strategic significance, culminating in its recognition as a qualified endeavour by the Sihanoukville Investment Sub-Committee.

Spanning its commitment further, Cobber Packing Company plans to construct the factory in O’Chamnar village, O’Oknha Heng commune, Prey Nob district, Sihanoukville province, contributing to the region’s industrial growth and employment opportunities.

In the initial trimester of 2024, the CDC sanctioned 106 novel projects and expansions, attracting a cumulative investment exceeding US$2.2 billion and facilitating over 107,000 employment prospects. These ventures signify Cambodia’s evolving economic landscape, showcasing its allure to investors and fostering sustainable development. (Read more)
