Domestic Cement Plants Produce 1.5 million Tons of Cement in First Two Months of 2022

Domestic cement production reached about 1.5 million tons in the first two months of 2022, up 2% from the same period in 2021.

According to a report from the Cambodia Cement Manufacturing Association, the five factories that were members of the association produced 799,226 tonnes in February, up from 725,022 tonnes produced in January.

Last year, the amount of domestically produced cement was 8.7 million tons, similar to the volume produced in 2020.

Currently, there are five cement factories operating in Cambodia, including Kampot Cement Co., Ltd, Cambodia Cement Chakreyting Co., Ltd, Chip Mong Inc. Chip Mong Insee Cement Corporation, Battambang Cement Factory, Battambang Conch Cement Factory and Thai Bunrong Cement Factory.
