Four prominent automotive and electronics companies are gearing up to expand their investments in Cambodia, aiming to bolster the nation’s economy. This commitment was announced during a recent study visit by HE Chea Socheat, Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, on 31 March 2025.

During the visit, HE Chea Socheat and his team toured the facilities of the four manufacturers strategically located across the country: two in Phnom Penh, one in Kandal province, and another in Takeo province. The purpose of this visit was to gain deeper insights into the operations of these companies, examining production factors, supply chains, market conditions, challenges, and future business prospects.

“This visit is part of our efforts to gather information that will contribute to a two-year progress report (2023-2024) focused on implementing the development roadmap for Cambodia’s automotive and electronics industries,” stated HE Chea Socheat.

Representatives from the four companies expressed their gratitude for the Royal Government’s support and attention to investors in the region. Their positive feedback highlighted a willingness to deepen their commitments and investments in Cambodia.

The companies involved in this initiative include:

  1. SEIKAWA (CAMBODIA) TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD – Specialising in manufacturing electronic and electrical components made from plastic.
  2. MARUSAN PLASTIC (PHNOM PENH) CO., LTD manufactures automotive components and construction materials.
  3. GTV MOTOR CO., LTD – Engaged in assembling and installing SUVs and Mini SUVs.
  4. KUANTECH (CAMBODIA) CORPORATION LIMITED – Focused on the manufacturing and assembly of power adapters, computers, and phones.

This renewed investment interest marks a significant step towards strengthening Cambodia’s industrial landscape, positioning the country as an emerging automotive and electronics manufacturing hub.
