Electric Bus Project Proposed for Siem Reap City

The Global Green Development Institute (GGGI) in Cambodia has expressed its desire to establish an electric bus project in Siem Reap in the near future, while the institute is currently studying the feasibility of the project with provincial leaders and relevant officials.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting between Siem Reap Deputy Governor Ly Samrith and Director of GGGI Cambodia Sumi Kim on 14 September.

Ms Sumi Kim said that the purpose of this discussion was to update and present the progress of the study.

Besides this project, the Cambodian government has also recently been working on other green city projects, one of which was the recent launch of a new EV charging station in Siem Reap, the third in the kingdom.
