In the inaugural month of 2024, Cambodia witnessed a surge in revenue from Angkor ticket sales, reaching an impressive US$5,498,054. This substantial income was generated from 115,532 foreign tourists, reflecting a remarkable 50.90% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The Angkor Institute’s report, released on 1 February 2024, highlighted the robust revenue growth, underlining the enduring allure of Cambodia’s historic Angkor temples among global tourists.

It is noteworthy that in the entire year of 2023, Cambodia amassed US$37,198,988 from Angkor ticket sales to a total of 798,069 foreign tourists, reinforcing the sustained popularity and economic significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site. (Read more)
