Kampong Chhnang Land Department Warns Public to be Cautious of Online Real Estate Agent

The Kampong Chhnang Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastral Department has issued a statement informing the public to be careful about a Facebook page named “Dara Panha Real Estate” which posts content selling unregistered land plots.

According to the statement released on 21 March, the land plots that the page is trying to sell are located in Village 7, Sangkat Khsam, Kampong Chhnang town. The statement added that the agent has no legal permit to sell the land, and the land plot itself also has no legal ownership document.

The land department also clarified that the location of the plot is also a part of the Tonle Sap Lake Authority’s land.

Besides warning about this plot, the authority also called on the public to be more cautious and always check with relevant local authorities before buying any land plots to avoid disputes in the future.
