Kingdom’s Largest Wholesale Outlet Opens

To go as planned late this year, the first Cambodia large-scale wholesale supermarket – Thai-based Makro has formally announced to opens door for its business with over 20,000 various sale products from today announcement onwards.

Broking ground in late May 2017, the 10,000-square-metre wholesale outlet built on a 5-hectare of land mass in Beong Pung Peay city – Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district in the northwest of the capital. The giant shopping facility is located in the same vicinity as the Aeon Mall II Supermarket and the recently announced Korean-based E-Mart.

The Makro brand has entered the Cambodian market as Makro Cambodia via a joint venture between Thai-based Siam Makro owning share 70 percent and rest owned by Cambodia’s LYP Group Company Limited. The urban warehouse facilities that owned by Cambodian tycoon Ly Yong Phat, LYP Group director, has set ambitious intention to expand nine brands after the newly operated market given a green light to its customers.
