Largest Gathering Yet for Construction Industry at MBAM Onebuild 2018

The Malaysia International Construction & Infrastructure Technology Exhibition (MBAM OneBuild) held in collaboration with the Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM) successfully took place from 13- 15 November 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.

This year, the exhibition managed to attract thousands of visitors from both the government and private sectors as well as international visitors from Australia, Japan, Cambodia, Korea, Mauritius, India and more. In addition, positive feedback was also received from exhibitors that many business transactions were initiated during the exhibition and it is estimated that there will be RM100 million (about US$24 million) in business transactions after the exhibition.

During the event, there was a free-admission concrete seminar presented by the Academy of Concrete Technology and a Concrete Clinic was set up by the American Concrete Institute Malaysia Chapter to provide free consultancy on concrete issues. Besides that, there were also networking sessions, live demonstrations, construction CSR programs, the IPAF Malaysia Forum 2018 and other events held concurrently during the exhibition.

Attendance at the exhibition came in the majority from contractors followed by property developers, importers & exporters of building materials, project managers and government officials. Representatives from the Ministry of Works, the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) as well as representatives from the Moroccan Embassy Malaysia also marked their presence at the exhibition to get a first-hand look at the latest products, technologies and services on the market.

There was an increase in the number of exhibitors from both local and international companies to showcase their products and services at this year’s MBAM OneBuild. Major construction companies showcasing their product include MMC-Gamuda KVMRT, PMB Quick Access Sdn Bhd. Besides that, over 30 China companies including top 500 China enterprises like Xuanhua Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and other top construction companies like Henan Liming Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co.,Ltd and GAOLI Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd.
