Milestones in Partnership: Cambodia & Japan Forge Collaboration in Seven Vital Sectors

In a momentous exchange, Cambodia and Japan solidified their alliance through the signing of seven pivotal cooperation documents. The ceremony, overseen by Samdech Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and His Excellency Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, marked the 50th Anniversary of Friendship and the ASEAN-Japan Cooperation Summit. The documents encompass transformative projects:

  1. National Data Centre Development Project Towards Promoting e-Government.
  2. Development Project of Digital Water Supply Management System in Urban Areas.
  3. Project to Request a Vessel for Hydrological Measurement to Produce Electronic Navigation Maps.
  4. Joint Memorandum between the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan on Cooperation for Digital Economic and Social Development in Cambodia.
  5. Memorandum of Understanding between the National Bank of Cambodia and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan on Cross-Border Payment Cooperation via QR Code.
  6. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Mines and Energy with Minebea Mitsumi and SchneiTec on Cooperation on Solar Energy Project.
  7. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Mines and Energy and Erex Co. Ltd and SPHP (Cambodia) on Cooperation on Biomass Energy Project.
