Land Ministry Raids Illegal Land Plots & Construction in Apsara Protect Zone

Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction HE Chea Sophara has launched a special campaign to demarcate land plots, register title deeds for legal owners, and raid illegal construction in Apsara protected zone.

With an opening ceremony held on 17 August in Siem Reap province, the campaign will be implemented in 15 days, starting from 18 August onwards.

Under this program, 32 teams will work on spreading information to landowners in the zone to come forward and clarify their ownership with authority, as well as educate them to understand their rights and obligation as the residents in the projected zone.

These special teams will also collect land information and register those plots to ensure future effective management.
