MOPT Brings Free Wi-Fi to Nearly 200 Locations during the SEA Games

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MOPT) has announced that it will provide free high-speed internet access at 186 locations at the National Olympic Stadium and Moradok Techo National Stadium, in support of the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games set to be hosted by Cambodia in 2023.

“Through this initiative, we aim to enhance the experience of athletes, officials, and spectators by providing reliable, high-speed internet access throughout the games,” said the spokesperson for MOPT.

The free public Wi-Fi will be available in various areas of the stadiums, including Indoor Hall, VIP Audiences, Outdoor Audiences, Stadium Palace, Swimming Center, Hockey Center, Indoor Sports Center, Badminton and Table Tennis Center, Tennis Center, Martial arts gym, and the public area outside the stadium.

To connect to the free Wi-Fi, users can simply scan the QR Code displayed at the location or follow the instructions provided on the display.

With this move, MOPT hopes to further boost the country’s profile as a technologically advanced and digitally connected nation while also providing a seamless and convenient experience for all attendees of the SEA Games.

The free Wi-Fi service is set to be available throughout the games, which will take place from 1st May to 17th May 2023.
