PM Announces Free Healthcare at Cambodia’s Largest Hospital for All Citizens, Especially Workers

PM Hun Sen has declared that all Cambodian citizens, particularly workers, can avail themselves of free medical treatment at the newly constructed “Techo Santepheap” Hospital, the largest healthcare facility in Cambodia. The PM made this announcement during a gathering with approximately 20,000 workers in Kandal province’s Ang Snoul district on 29 June 2023.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the hospital, the PM revealed that the Techo Santepheap Hospital is nearing completion and has already commenced operations. Emphasizing its free-of-charge services, he assured the public that there is no need for an official inauguration, as he himself has inspected the facility.

“The Techo Santepheap Hospital stands as Cambodia’s largest medical center and one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Its doors are now open to all individuals seeking healthcare,” continued the PM while encouraging all Cambodian to utilize this state-of-the-art facility for medical treatment.

The Techo National Peace Hospital, boasting a remarkable capacity of over 10,000 beds, is nearing its completion and is scheduled for an imminent inauguration. This hospital surpasses the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, inaugurated in February 2022, by a factor of ten in terms of size. (Read more)
