South Korea Keen to Help Cambodia on Systematic Infrastructure Development

The Republic of Korea is keen to help Cambodia on Systematic Infrastructure Development, according to H.E Kim Hyun Mee, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea.

In a meeting with H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport held on 17 September, H.E Kim Hyun Mee said that Korea is willing to support the Royal Government of Cambodia to develop the Systematic Infrastructure comprising of 1) Development of national infrastructure technology and ground information 2) Technology support 3) Research and exchange software (that is accessible to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia) and 4) Establishment of an Infrastructure Technology Center in Cambodia.

In response, H.E. Sun Chanthol took note and expressed his sincere thanks to the Korean government for their infrastructure development assistance for Cambodia over the last five years.

Meanwhile, H.E. Sun Chanthol has also asked the Korean government to support current and future projects involving KOICA including, the improvement of national roads, wastewater treatment plants in Siem Reap and Takhmav, the establishment of the Research Center and Institute for Laboratories and Training, and the Master Plan for Port Development.
