Takeo authorities to install security cameras in town to reduce insecurity

The provincial authorities of Takeo plan to install security cameras and street lights in towns, parks, and public places to reduce various insecurities that can affect social order.

This was announced by HE Vy Samnang, Governor of Takeo Provincial Board of Governors, during the 4th Ordinary Meeting of the 4th Mandate of Takeo Provincial Council on September 11, 2024.

Governor Samnang noted that inadequate street lighting on some roads in the city posed difficulties and risks for residents travelling at night.

In response, the authorities will install more street lights and security cameras to enhance safety and provide law enforcement with the means to monitor locations and address criminal activities such as theft, robbery, and drug cases more effectively.
