Tbong Khmum issues new guidelines strengthening control over construction & real estate businesses

The Tbong Khmum Provincial Administration has ordered all departments and municipal administrations under its supervision to strengthen control over the land plot selling businesses, construction, excavation, and land reclamation work, aiming to prevent state land and forest encroachment.

According to Letter No. 042/21 KP, dated December 21, 2021, below are the orders:

-The Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction and Cadastral shall inspect all construction works and land plot selling businesses in accordance with the technical regulations.

-The Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport shall inspect all constructions that have been built or are currently being built on roadside land and instruct the construction owners to comply with the Road Law.

-The Provincial Department of Mines and Energy shall monitor and evaluate the mining license (excavation) by strictly prohibiting the excavation of land in flooded forest areas or protected zone.

-The Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Provincial Department of Water Resources and Meteorology and the Provincial Department of Environment and relevant authorities shall jointly inspect and prevent the encroachment on flooded forest lands and protected areas.

-The governors of the municipality and districts shall coordinate with the relevant departments and competent authorities to monitor and control the encroachment on the public lands and the construction of roadside lands, unlicensed construction, land reclamation, among others.
