Government Leases Extensive Land in Kep for Private Development Initiatives

In a landmark decision, the Cambodian government has allocated approximately 30 hectares of land within the scenic Kep National Park to One More, Ltd., paving the way for the development of a captivating tourist destination. This noteworthy development was confirmed through a sub-decree issued on 25 November 2022, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth and attracting investment to the province.

The government has previously allocated over 200 hectares of land in Kirirom National Park, located in Kampong Speu province, to the same company. In a similar vein, One Fraternity Co., Ltd. has been granted a lease for 649 hectares of land in the Oral Wildlife Sanctuary, encompassing Kdol Sen Chey Commune and Chiep Commune in the Teuk Phos District of Kampong Chhnang Province. The government’s collaboration with One Fraternity Co., Ltd. seeks to develop a naturally connected tourism area, accentuating the province’s unique natural wonders and fostering sustainable economic growth. The Royal Government of Cambodia has made these significant land allocations, transitioning them from public property to private ownership. The lessees include Duke Chheng Sokuntheavy, the proprietor of the national microfinance company, as well as the aforementioned companies, One More, Ltd. and One Fraternity Co., Ltd.
